<image:caption>Psychotherapy could be what you need and I can offer you a safe space to help you to explore what is troubling you. By working together to think about these issues we can come to understand them more, and explore ways in which change can be possible. A UK-based couples’ and individual psychoanalytic psychotherapist, I am experienced in working with adults therapeutically within the NHS, the charity sector and in private practice. I am a member of the British Psychotherapy Foundation and of member of TRAPC (Tavistock Relationships Association of Psychotherapists & Counsellors) where I am also a Visiting Clinician. As I am accredited by the British Psychoanalytic Council, I adhere to their Ethical Framework for Good Practice.</image:caption>

<image:title>About psychoanalytic psychotherapy - About</image:title>
<image:caption>Are you experiencing difficulty in your personal or professional relationships? Do you find yourself repeating patterns, in a manner which doesn't seem to help you or indeed appears to hinder you? Perhaps you find yourself procrastinating, whilst feeling increasingly overwhelmed by the feeling that you should be doing something and yet unable to do much about it? Maybe you are feeling riddled with anxiety or feeling depressed, unsure of which way to turn for help? Does it feel challenging to communicate effectively in your couple relationship? Psychoanalytic or psychodynamic psychotherapy is a non-directive talking therapy which aims to help individuals and couples explore more unconscious aspects of their behaviour, thoughts and feelings. By exploring these issues we can come to understand them more, and explore ways in which we can change. Depending on what you are looking for, I can provide psychotherapy once a week for a brief period or for longer periods of time. Long-term psychoanalytic psychotherapy offered three times a week or more may be more suitable to explore how past issues relate to current difficulties, and in particular, repeated patterns of behaviour and relating. This would be discussed in an initial consultation. There are some frequently asked questions which often come up when looking into therapy.</image:caption>

<image:title>How much does therapy cost? - Fees</image:title>
<image:caption>My fees are offered on a sliding scale (depending on the frequency of sessions per week) and would be discussed in advance before the start of any treatment. It is important to think about the cost of your therapy as an investment into yourself and your wellbeing. Each session lasts fifty minutes, these take place at the same time and day(s) each week. An initial consultation may take slightly longer, with a standard fee of £130 for individuals and £150 for couples.</image:caption>

<image:caption>It can feel daunting entering into therapy and difficult to know if a therapist is right for you. The purpose of an initial consultation is to allow us both a chance to understand what you would like help with and to see if we could work with one another, before you make a decision. If you would like to get in touch to have a brief telephone conversation and to set up an initial consultation or to discuss your situation you can contact me and I will respond to you promptly.</image:caption>
